YEAR 2018-2019

 

ARTICLE 1: THEME
The school intuit.lab, school of design and visual communication, launches the 14th edition of its image contest. This competition is awarded prizes to reward authors of unpublished images illustrating the theme: MY HEART

ARTICLE 2: PARTICIPANTS
The competition is open to any student regularly enrolled in a second, first or second year of secondary education.

ARTICLE 3: CONSTRAINTS
• The candidate must create an original illustration representing a personal view of what the HEART is referring to for him. All interpretations are possible.
• Whatever the angle chosen (the plant, the symbol, the use, the humor), the interpretation of MY HEART can have a SYMBOLIC dimension, or REALISTIC, or both.
• The project must be accompanied by a TITLE, which makes it possible to understand the meaning desired by the candidate.
• Free technique: black & white or colors, flat illustration, all mediums allowed: collage, pencils, gouaches, inks, oils, chalks, etc.
For the realization of the works, the candidates have the obligation to respect the specified formats:
• Rendering in digital version: JPEG file (scan or photo of the project).
Size of the image: 50 x 32.5 cm or 2953 x 1968 ppi, in 150 dpi.

ARTICLE 4: PRICE
The prizes will be awarded to the winners of the competition during an exhibition organized by the intuit.lab school (see article 7).
The prizes awarded by the jury created for this purpose are as follows:
1st prize: a check of 300 €
2nd prize: a check of 200 €
3rd prize: a check of 100 €
Price “favorite of the public” : a check of 200 €.

For this category, 10 works, previously selected by the jury, will be in competition. The prize will be awarded to the candidate whose illustration will garner the most “likes” on the school’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/intuit.lab.
Anyone with a Facebook account is allowed to vote, regardless of age or country. Only one entry per person – same name, same first name, same email address or Facebook ID – is allowed during the entire contest period.

ARTICLE 5: TERMS
Each candidate will have to fill the participation form and deposit on the site concours.ecole-intuit-lab.com before March 8, 2019, a work in the format specified above (it will be retained only one return per candidate).
The intuit.lab school reserves the right to refuse any file in which the model has undergone alterations likely to interfere with the jury’s judgment.

ARTICLE 6: ACHIEVEMENTS
The candidate must create an original illustration representing a personal view of HEART.

ARTICLE 7: THE JURY
A jury, made up of professionals and specialists from the field of creation, will judge the applications selected to compete under Article 5.
The marks awarded to each candidate will determine the 40 best jobs including the first three prizes.
These will be presented as part of an exhibition organized by the school intuit.lab Paris.

ARTICLE 8: JURY EVALUATION CRITERIA
• Simplicity and readability of the theme.
• Originality of your image.
• Technical qualities.
• Care in the finish.
• Respect constraints.

ARTICLE 9: RESULTS
The selected candidates will be informed of the results as soon as the jury deliberation.

ARTICLE 10: COMMITMENT
Any participation in the Imagin.lab 2019 Contest implies acceptance by each candidate of these rules. The jury’s decisions are final.

ARTICLE 11: RIGHT TO IMAGE
By accepting the rules, the candidate declares to accept that the intuit.lab school is free of charge, to the recording of its images, their distribution and their exploitation. They can be done through websites and social networks, in France and internationally, without any restriction of access and without remuneration of the person concerned.

ARTICLE 12: SETTLEMENT DEPOSIT
The candidates accept the entirety of the present rules which is deposited with the study of Masters Éric Chapuis & David Buzy. It can be obtained on request at school intuit.lab throughout the contest.
